Downtown Knoxville Welcomes Back the Market Square Farmers Market

If you are looking for a more localized way to buy your groceries, or just want somewhere nice to spend your afternoon, the Market Square Farmers’ Market is for you.

Produced by Nourish Knoxville, the Market Square Farmers Market started back up in May and takes place on Wednesdays from 11 am to 2 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.

By shopping at the farmers market, the public is given the opportunity to purchase locally grown, organic food. Products offered at the Market Square Farmers Market can include anything from locally grown fruits and vegetables to organic dog treats, giving everyone the opportunity to find something that they need. The Market Square Farmers Market also lets the public know exactly where their food is coming from by allowing them to interact with the vendors that they are purchasing from.

By shopping at the farmers market, the public is also given the opportunity to purchase locally handcrafted items including anything from jewelry to clothing items. This gives the public the opportunity to support small businesses by purchasing a unique item that they wouldn’t be able to purchase elsewhere. This also gives small business owners and crafters the opportunity to start selling their product without worrying about investments and risks.

Everything that is sold at the farmers market is grown or produced by vendors all around the East Tennessee region, creating the local feel of the event. This coming together of vendors from around the area, creates the perfect opportunity for the public to shop more locally while also interacting with different members of their community.

The Market Square Farmers Market is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, which is a popular location. By being surrounded by interactive fountains, clothing shops, food trucks, and restaurants, the Market Square Farmers Market is the perfect place to spend your afternoon.
